We cannot enter into the Lord's domain without a proper understanding of Maya Devi. Unless the philosophy of Maya Devi is assimilated, spiritual life cannot be stable and one shall be continuously lured by material energy or by the power of Maya. The Supreme Lord's incarnation in Kaliyuga was Sriman Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. He showed the people of the world the pure path of Bhakti which is radically different from the path of Advaita Vedanta. Although Vedanta talks about the path of intelligence, Sriman Mahaprabhu declared and established the path of Bhakti to be Supreme, unchallenged even by the scriptures. The Questions put forth by Sanatana Goswami one of Sriman Mahaprabhu's favourite disciples lights up the path of Bhakti to the fullest.
It is needed to look deeply into the stories from the Puranas, the Ramayana and the Mahabharata. there is more to it than meets the eye. Lord Krishna represents Bhakti. However the character of Sri Rama is dualistic. It stands for the equal-eyed Jnana and also to the partial Bhakti aspect. A Sage, is one who is the epitome of Truth. Unless one becomes capable of recognizing a sage, it shall be difficult to discriminate between what is true and what is a lie. A Sage is a personfied representation of the Vedic Scriptures. If one is able to get the association of a true sage, understanding the scriptures shall be simplified. One has to first be able to read the symptoms of a sage.
